  • Microsoft DLINQ: The future of .NET Data Access

Web Parts have proven to be very popular and valuable for building modular web applications. Now you can use a similar concept in your .NET 2.0 Windows Forms applications using a new application block from Microsoft know as the Composite UI Application Block (CAB). The CAB allows you to construct a complex user interface based on simpler pluggable components capable of interacting with backend and workflow solutions. This session will introduce you to the CAB and its architecture based on the Component Model and Dependency Injection.

  • Composite UI Application Block

DLINQ is a new Microsoft project that will change how you write the data access layer of your application. The goal of DLINQ is to substantially reduce the amount of data access code that you must write in order to work with your business objects. DLINQ is a lightweight Object-Relational Mapper that uses the features of the next release of .NET. This session introduces you to DLINQ and describes how to use it effectively in your desktop, web or distributed application.
